How to get
here
You can buy the air ticket to/from Narsarsuaq,
South Greenland at www.airgreenland.gl
from Copenhagen, Denmark or at www.airiceland.is
from Reykjavik, Iceland. The flight from Denmark runs Wednesday
and Saturday from the middle of June to the beginning of September.
The flight from Iceland runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
from the beginning of July to the middle of September. You can
fly to Reykjavik from several cities in Europe with Iceland
Air and with Iceland
Express.
See detailed flight schedule for international flights to/from
Narsarsuaq summer 2010 here.
Travelling via Denmark
When landing in Denmark (Kastrup International Airport) you
can easily get to the centre of the town by train, Metro or
taxi. When going to Greenland you normally leave from Terminal
2.
You can catch the train and the Metro from the end of Terminal
3 in the airport (walking distance from Terminal 2 and free
shuttle from Terminal 1). The train goes to Copenhagen Central
Station and takes about 15 minutes. The Metro has several stops
through the city, but it does not pass by the central station.
You can buy tickets to train and metro in Terminal 3, above
the railway. Please note that you need Danish coins or credit
card. A ticket to the centre costs about DKK 35 (EUR 5).
A taxi to the centre will cost from about DKK 120 (EUR 16).

Travelling via Iceland
When you arrive in Iceland from Europe, you land in Keflavik
International Airport. The airport is situated about 50 km from
the centre of Reykjavik. However, the flight with Air Iceland
to Greenland leaves from Reykjavik Domestic Airport, which is
situated in Reykjavik (close to the bus terminal).
It is quite expensive to take a taxi from Keflavik to the centre
of Reykjavik. Unless you are 4 people travelling together (and
you can share a taxi), the best option is to take the "Flybus",
which goes to the bus terminal. The Flybus is connected to all
arriving and departing flights at Keflavik airport. It takes
about 1 hour and costs 1.950 ISK (11 EUR) per person (one way).
You can buy the tickets for the Flybus in the airport.
If you are heading for your hotel or guesthouse in Reykjavik,
you can buy a "Flybus Plus" ticket (ISK 2.500/EUR
14). Then you can board smaller buses from the bus terminal,
which will take you to most of the major hotels and guesthouses
in Reykjavik.
Are you going to Reykjavik Domestic Airport from Reykjavik itself
(hotel or bus terminal), it is most simple to take a taxi.
